Praise & Worship Ministry

Praise and worship is the measuring rod of His worth to us. Show me a person involved in worship and I will show you someone who has a high estimation of God. Likewise, one who doesn’t express God’s worth through worship is one who has a low estimation of God. Praise and worship is the means through which we express His worth in our sight.

“Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.”

Honor the Holy Spirit and the Pastor. Our Pastor must follow what God wants to do. So we honor the leadership of the pastor, and lead the musicians as well as the congregation in worship. Throughout Scripture, there are many examples of singing as a means to express this gratitude. In fact, it is one of the few imperatives found in the New Testament (Col. 3:16, Eph. 5:20).  When the church raises her voice in unity, proclaiming praises, thanksgiving, declaring God’s works and attributes, we are at once ministering to God and strengthening our faith. We are engaging our minds and our hearts in an expressive act that is unique among God’s creation.

The Praise & Worship team exists to minister to the Lord through praise and worship, to encourage and lead the congregation into the presence of the Lord, and to facilitate and create an atmosphere where the presence of the Lord can dwell. Our goal is to lead people into the manifest presence of the Lord. “Make a joyful noise, shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God. It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.” Psalm 100:1-4
